Key Grammatical Features

1. Heart-Located Speech

Isa 14:13 and Rev 18:7 explicitly locate the speech "in the heart" (בִלְבָבְךָ; ἐν τῇ καρδίᾳ αὐτῆς). Ezek 28:2 states the lifted heart before quoting the claim (יַעַן גָּבַהּ לִבְּךָ וַתֹּאמֶר). In all three, the grammar frames the claim as internal self-definition before it becomes public judgment material.

2. Enthronement/Sitting Language

Ezek 28:2 has Qal perfect 1cs יָשַׁבְתִּי; Isa 14:13 has Qal imperfect 1cs אֵשֵׁב; Rev 18:7 has present middle/passive indicative 1s Κάθημαι. The shared grammar is not identical language, but a similar self-enthronement predicate.

3. Divine or Royal Predicate Claim

Ezek 28:2 uses a predicate-first Hebrew nominal clause: אֵל אָנִי. Isa 14:14 uses Hithpael אֶדַּמֶּה לְעֶלְיֹון, a reflexive/self-likening verb. Rev 18:7 uses nominative predicate βασίλισσα with Κάθημαι: "I sit queen." These are three different grammatical strategies for self-elevating identity speech.

4. Formula Does Not Flatten Referents

The grammar establishes comparable speech patterns: heart-located self-claim, sitting/enthronement, self-elevation, and denial of creaturely vulnerability. It does not by itself decide whether the referents are individual rulers, cities, empires, spiritual powers, or typological layers.
