Raw Greek Parsing Data

Revelation 15:3

Key words: - δίκαιαι (dikaios G1342) — Nom Pl F — "just/righteous" (predicate adjective) - ἀληθιναὶ (alethinos G228) — Nom Pl F — "true/genuine" (predicate adjective) - αἱ ὁδοί (hodos G3598) — Nom Pl F — "the ways" (subject) - Βασιλεὺς τῶν ἐθνῶν — "King of the nations"

Grammatical note: δίκαιαι καὶ ἀληθιναὶ αἱ ὁδοί σου — predicate-first word order emphasizes the quality: "JUST and TRUE [are] thy ways." Both adjectives are nominative plural feminine matching ὁδοί.

Revelation 16:5

Greek Text: (Not parsed — verse says "Thou art righteous, O Lord, which art, and wast, and shalt be, because thou hast judged thus.")

Revelation 16:7

Greek Text: Καὶ ἤκουσα τοῦ θυσιαστηρίου λέγοντος Ναί, Κύριε ὁ Θεός ὁ Παντοκράτωρ, ἀληθιναὶ καὶ δίκαιαι αἱ κρίσεις σου.

Key words: - τοῦ θυσιαστηρίου λέγοντος (thysiastērion G2379 + legō G3004 PAP-GSM) — "the altar saying" — the altar itself speaks - ἀληθιναὶ (alethinos G228) — Nom Pl F — "true" - δίκαιαι (dikaios G1342) — Nom Pl F — "righteous" - αἱ κρίσεις (krisis G2920) — Nom Pl F — "the judgments"

Grammatical note: Word order reverses from 15:3 — here ἀληθιναὶ precedes δίκαιαι (true and righteous). Subject is κρίσεις (judgments) rather than ὁδοί (ways). The altar (θυσιαστήριον, neuter) takes a masculine participle (λέγοντος) — personification of the altar as a speaking witness.

Revelation 19:1-2

Greek Text v.2: ὅτι ἀληθιναὶ καὶ δίκαιαι αἱ κρίσεις αὐτοῦ· ὅτι ἔκρινεν τὴν πόρνην τὴν μεγάλην ἥτις ἔφθειρεν τὴν γῆν ἐν τῇ πορνείᾳ αὐτῆς, καὶ ἐξεδίκησεν τὸ αἷμα τῶν δούλων αὐτοῦ ἐκ χειρὸς αὐτῆς.

Key words: - ἀληθιναὶ καὶ δίκαιαι αἱ κρίσεις αὐτοῦ — same formula as 16:7 but with αὐτοῦ (his) instead of σου (thy) - ἔκρινεν (krinō G2919) — Aorist Act Ind 3S — "he judged" (completed action) - ἐξεδίκησεν (ekdikeō G1556) — Aorist Act Ind 3S — "he avenged" (completed action)

Grammatical note: Both verbs are aorist (completed action) — the judgment and avenging are presented as accomplished facts. This is the declaration of vindication complete.

Revelation 14:7

Greek Text: λέγων ἐν φωνῇ μεγάλῃ· Φοβήθητε τὸν Θεὸν καὶ δότε αὐτῷ δόξαν, ὅτι ἦλθεν ἡ ὥρα τῆς κρίσεως αὐτοῦ, καὶ προσκυνήσατε τῷ ποιήσαντι τὸν οὐρανὸν καὶ τὴν γῆν καὶ θάλασσαν καὶ πηγὰς ὑδάτων.

Key words: - ἦλθεν (erchomai G2064) — Aor Act Ind 3S — "has come" (aorist — arrived) - ἡ ὥρα τῆς κρίσεως αὐτοῦ — "the hour of his judgment" (krisis G2920 GSF) - Φοβήθητε (phobeō G5399) — Aor Pass Impv 2P — "Fear!" (imperative) - δότε (didōmi G1325) — Aor Act Impv 2P — "Give!" (imperative) - προσκυνήσατε (proskyneō G4352) — Aor Act Impv 2P — "Worship!" (imperative)

Grammatical note: Three aorist imperatives (fear, give, worship) motivated by the aorist indicative ἦλθεν (has come). The judgment hour is announced as having arrived.

Romans 3:25-26

v.25: ὃν προέθετο ὁ Θεὸς ἱλαστήριον (hilastērion G2435 — propitiation/mercy seat) διὰ πίστεως ἐν τῷ αὐτοῦ αἵματι, εἰς ἔνδειξιν (endeixis G1732 — demonstration) τῆς δικαιοσύνης (dikaiosynē G1343 — righteousness) αὐτοῦ

v.26: εἰς τὸ εἶναι αὐτὸν δίκαιον (dikaios G1342 — just) καὶ δικαιοῦντα (dikaioō G1344 — PAP-ASM — "the one justifying") τὸν ἐκ πίστεως Ἰησοῦ.

Critical grammatical note: The purpose clause εἰς τὸ εἶναι αὐτὸν δίκαιον καὶ δικαιοῦντα uses an articular infinitive (εἰς τὸ εἶναι) expressing purpose/result: "in order that he might be..." Two predicate elements: (1) δίκαιον — adjective, "just" and (2) δικαιοῦντα — present active participle, "the one justifying." Both δικ- words from the same root. God is simultaneously JUST (dikaios) AND the JUSTIFIER (dikaiōn) — the syntactic tension is the theological point.

Romans 8:33-34

v.33: τίς ἐγκαλέσει (engkaleō G1458 — FAI-3S — "shall bring a charge") κατὰ ἐκλεκτῶν (eklektos G1588 — "elect/chosen ones") Θεοῦ; Θεὸς ὁ δικαιῶν (dikaioō G1344 — PAP-NSM — "the one justifying")

Grammatical note: Rhetorical question with future indicative (ἐγκαλέσει — "who SHALL lay charge"). The answer is a verbless nominal clause: Θεὸς ὁ δικαιῶν — "God [is] the one justifying." The present participle δικαιῶν indicates ongoing action — God continually justifies.
