hebrew/stem-hiphil.md

Source: D:/bible/bible-studies/grammar-reference/hebrew/stem-hiphil.md - Listed in PROMPT.md but not directly parsed for this study - Relevant for Hiphil verbs in Lev 16: hiqriv (v.20, "presented"), herim (various offerings)

passages/dan-8-14.md

Source: D:/bible/bible-studies/grammar-reference/passages/dan-8-14.md - Complete word-by-word parsing of Dan 8:14 - Key finding: nitsdaq is Niphal Perfect 3ms of tsadaq — ONLY Niphal of tsadaq in entire OT - KJV "cleansed" translates the eschatological effect but the root means "be just/vindicated" — forensic, not ritual - The ritual cleansing verb is taher (H2891), used in Lev 16:19,30 - This establishes a distinction: Lev 16 uses RITUAL vocabulary (taher), Dan 8:14 uses FORENSIC vocabulary (tsadaq) - The DOA may bridge both: ritual cleansing that constitutes forensic vindication

Hithpael Stem in Lev 16:21

  • vehitvaddah (Hithpael of yadah) — the ONLY reflexive verb in Leviticus 16
  • Hithpael = reflexive/reciprocal stem
  • In confession context: the reflexive nature suggests the high priest identifies with the congregation's sins — it is a personal, self-involving act
  • Distinguished from all other DOA verbs which are Qal or Piel (active transitive)
