ROM 3:24 — Parallel Analysis via concept_context.py¶
OT Parallels (conceptual)¶
- Isa 53:11 — "my righteous servant shall justify many" — tsaddiq yatsdiq = dikaion dikaiunta (Rom 3:26). Direct linguistic parallel: the righteous one who justifies.
- Psa 143:2 — "in thy sight shall no man living be justified" — quoted/adapted in Rom 3:20. The impossibility statement that Rom 3:24 overcomes.
- Isa 45:25 — "In the LORD shall all the seed of Israel be justified" — justification from YHWH.
- Gen 15:6 — "he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness" — the Abrahamic paradigm that Rom 4 develops.
NT Parallels (within Paul)¶
- Eph 1:7 — "In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace" — apolytrosis + haima + charis cluster.
- Col 1:14 — "In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins" — nearly identical to Eph 1:7.
- Tit 3:7 — "That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs" — dikaiothentes + charit.
ROM 4:25 — Parallel Analysis¶
OT Parallels¶
- Isa 53:5 — "he was wounded for our transgressions" — the dia ta paraptomata (for our offenses) echoes.

NT Parallels¶
- 1 Cor 15:3-4 — "Christ died for our sins... was buried, and rose again" — the kerygmatic death-resurrection parallel.
- Rom 8:34 — "Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again" — the same death-resurrection pairing applied to the courtroom.
ROM 5:1 — Parallel Analysis¶
OT Parallels¶

ROM 8:33 — Parallel Analysis¶
OT Direct Parallel¶
- Isa 50:8 — "He is near that justifieth me (matsdiqiy); who will contend (yariv) with me? let us stand together; who is the master of my legal case (mishpati)? let him come near to me." — This is the direct OT source of Rom 8:33. The Hebrew uses the Hiphil participle of tsadaq (matsdiqiy) = "my justifier," and the context is explicitly forensic (riyb = contend at law; mishpat = legal case/judgment).

- Acts 13:39 — "by him all that believe are justified from all things" — universal justification through the Servant.
