Question

How do the seven heads/mountains/kings of the beast (Rev 17:9-11) function as a structural and symbolic element? What does the 'five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come' formula (17:10) reveal about the beast's temporal structure? How do the seven beatitudes (makarios — Rev 1:3, 14:13, 16:15, 19:9, 20:6, 22:7, 22:14) create a structural spine distributed through the entire book? Do the beatitudes form a chiastic or progressive pattern? Document each beatitude's position in the book's narrative and its thematic content.
