Raw Hebrew Parsing Output¶
Dan 12:2¶
Hebrew: chayyei (H2416, 'life' mp Cst) olam (H5769, 'eternity' ms Abs) = 'everlasting life'. la-charafot (H2781, 'to reproaches' fp Abs) le-dir'on (H1860, 'to abhorrence' ms Cst) olam (H5769, 'eternity' ms Abs) = 'to shame and everlasting contempt'.
Key: Identical construct: Noun.Cst + olam.Abs for BOTH outcomes. Nature-of-subject determines actual duration. Deraon (H1860) = abhorrence/revulsion -- occurs only here and Isa 66:24 (corpses).
Gen 19:24¶
Hebrew: YHWH (H3068) himtir (H4305, 'rained' Hiphil Perf 3ms) al-Sedom (upon Sodom) ve-al-Amorah (and upon Gomorrah) gophryith (H1614, 'brimstone/sulphur' fs Abs) va-esh (H784, 'and fire' s Abs) me-et YHWH (from YHWH) min-ha-shamayim (from the heavens).
Key: Fire + brimstone from the LORD -- the paradigmatic divine judgment. Historical fire that ended.
Isa 34:10¶
Hebrew: le-olam (H5769, 'to eternity') ya'aleh (H5927, 'shall ascend') ashana-h (H6227, 'its smoke'). mi-dor la-dor (H1755, 'from generation to generation'). le-netsach (H5331, 'to perpetuity') netsachim (H5331, 'of perpetuities'). 'ein (H369, 'there is not') over (H5674, 'passing through') ba-h ('in it').
Key: le-olam = 'for ever'; le-netsach netsachim = 'to perpetuity of perpetuities' (strongest Hebrew forever form). Yet Isa 34:11-17 describes animals inhabiting the territory.
Isa 66:24¶
Hebrew: pigerey (H6297, 'corpses' mp Cst) ha-anashim (H376, 'the men'). tola'tam (H8438, 'their worm') lo tamut (H4191, 'shall not die'). ishsham (H784, 'their fire') lo tikhbeh (H3518, 'shall not be quenched'). deraon (H1860, 'abhorrence' ms Abs) le-kol basar (H1320, 'to all flesh').
Key: Object viewed is CORPSES (peger), not living beings. Worm and fire are agents consuming dead bodies. Deraon = onlookers' reaction of revulsion.
