Existing Studies Referenced

This study (sanc-20) is the capstone of the sanctuary series (sanc-01 through sanc-19). Key findings from prior studies are documented in PROMPT.md and incorporated throughout the research.

Core Architectural Studies

  • sanc-01 (Why a Sanctuary): Sanctuary purpose = dwelling (Exo 25:8). Thread: Eden -> Tabernacle -> Temple -> Incarnation (John 1:14) -> Believers (1 Cor 3:16) -> New Jerusalem (Rev 21:3). Sanctuary is "God's master illustration of the plan of salvation."
  • sanc-02 (Tabernacle Architecture): Three-zone structure with material gradient (bronze/silver/gold). Single eastern entrance reverses Eden's expulsion. East-to-west = approach to God. Silver sockets = redemption foundation. Heb 9:8 ("the Holy Ghost this signifying"). Heb 10:19-22 collapses entire journey.
  • sanc-03 (Sanctuary Furniture): Each piece = aspect of Christ's work. Bronze altar = justification. Laver = regeneration (louo) + sanctification (nipto). Lampstand = Christ/Spirit/churches. Showbread = bread of life. Incense = prayer/intercession. Mercy seat = hilasterion. "Perpetual" principle across all.

Sin and Atonement Studies

  • sanc-06 (Sin Enters Sanctuary): Three mechanisms of sin transfer. Lev 16:16 shows sanctuary needs atonement because of accumulated sin. DOA cleanses innermost to outermost.
  • sanc-08 (Veil Access): Paroketh as "separatrix." Veil torn top-to-bottom = divine initiative. Heb 10:19-20 new and living way through the veil = his flesh. Rending transformed access, not structure.
  • sanc-09 (Day of Atonement Ritual): Full Lev 16 exegesis. Kaphar 16x in one chapter.
  • sanc-17 (Atonement Vocabulary): kaphar/kippur/kapporeth/kopher word family. LXX bridge kapporeth -> hilasterion confirmed (PMI 9.75).
  • sanc-18 (Blood Ministry): Blood = life-currency. Lev 17:11 theological foundation.

Prophetic/Timeline Studies

  • sanc-12 (Seven Feasts): Feast sequence = prophetic calendar. Spring feasts fulfilled on exact dates. Fall feasts eschatological. Col 2:16-17 shadow principle.
  • sanc-19 (Vindication Courtroom): Dan 8:14 nitsdaq is forensic. Four dimensions of vindication. Isa 53:11 justifies many. Rom 3:26 "just AND justifier."
  • salvation-before-jesus: Same means across all ages; sanctuary foreshadowed Christ.
