Key observations: - "vehibdilah happaroket" = "and the curtain shall SEPARATE" — Hiphil perfect 3fs of בדל (badal, to separate/divide). This is the SAME verb used in Genesis 1:4 ("God divided the light from the darkness") and Genesis 1:6-7 (firmament dividing waters). The veil performs a cosmic function of separation. - "mibbeit lapparoket" = "from the house of the veil" = "within/inside the veil" — the phrase means "from the interior side of the curtain" - "bein haqqodesh uvein qodesh haqqodashim" = "between the holy and between the holy of holies" — explicitly states the two zones

Key observations: The incense is brought WITHIN the veil (mibbeit lapparoket) BEFORE the blood (v.14-15). The cloud from the incense covers the mercy seat (v.13) so the priest does not die. The incense precedes blood application — protection before exposure to divine presence.
