Exodus 30:1 — Incense Altar

וְעָשִׂיתָ מִזְבֵּחַ מִקְטַר קְטֹרֶת עֲצֵי שִׁטִּים תַּעֲשֶׂה אֹתֹו׃

mizbeach = altar (place of slaughter)
miqtar = burning place (from qatar "to burn incense")
qetoret = smoke of sacrifice / incense

NOTE: The incense altar is literally "an altar, a burning-place of incense-smoke." It contains both mizbeach (altar/place of slaughter) and miqtar (burning place) — combining sacrifice imagery with incense. The two words from the same root (qatar/qetoret) emphasize the rising smoke.
