Verse-by-Verse Analysis — DOA Pattern Within Revelation's Structure

Study Type: SYNTHESIS

This analysis evaluates evidence from all 23 rev- exposition studies. Each "verse" entry below corresponds to a Revelation section assessed against the DOA null hypothesis.

Section-by-Section Analysis

Rev 1:9-20 — Prologue Vision (DOA: WEAK)

Context: John's commissioning vision on Patmos. Christ among the lampstands. DOA elements tested: Priestly garment (poderes), lampstand setting, "keys of hell and death," "first and last" title. Direct evidence: N001 — poderes is general me'il, NOT DOA-specific linen baddim. N002 — Lampstands = daily ministry. The Dan 7/10 allusions create DOA resonance through judgment imagery but are not DOA-specific ritual elements. Assessment: WEAK. The passage establishes priestly-sacrificial PRECONDITIONS for later DOA connections (I001-B) but contains no DOA-specific vocabulary or ritual elements. Internal vs. Structural: Neither. The prologue is the FRAME, not part of the judgment sequence.

Rev 2-3 — Seven Letters (DOA: WEAK)

Context: Messages to seven historical churches. Ecclesiological focus. DOA elements tested: Repentance calls, overcomer promises, "Days of Awe" parallel. Direct evidence: I006-A — Overcomer promises trace a possible sanctuary trajectory but this is interpretive. No DOA vocabulary. Assessment: WEAK. Letters function as church-history survey. Any DOA parallel (Days of Awe) is equally consistent with general ecclesiology. Internal vs. Structural: Neither. No DOA-specific content or structural framing.

Rev 4-5 — Throne Room / Sealed Book (DOA: WEAK)

Context: Heavenly throne room scene. Lamb found worthy to open the scroll. DOA elements tested: Lampstand (4:5), sea of glass (4:6), 24 elders as priestly courses, incense bowls (5:8), Dan 7:9-14 parallel. Direct evidence: E010 — Nine-element Dan 7 reproduction. E012 — Golden bowls origin of vessel transformation arc. E014 — LACKS glory-filling exclusion (this is displaced to Rev 15:8). E018 — 24 priestly courses. Assessment: WEAK for DOA. The sanctuary imagery is GENERAL. Lacks every DOA marker: no linen/baddim, no blood-sprinkling on mercy seat, no smoke-filling exclusion, no entrance restriction. The Dan 7 parallel creates indirect DOA resonance through the judgment-throne scene but the passage itself describes inauguration/commissioning, not DOA ritual. Internal vs. Structural: STRUCTURAL only — the vessel transformation arc (SP119) originates here and reaches its DOA-specific terminus at Rev 15:7-8.

Rev 6-7 — Seals / Altar Cry / Sealing (DOA: MODERATE)

Context: Seals opened; martyrs cry under altar; 144,000 sealed; great multitude. DOA elements tested: Altar cry (6:9-10), "who shall stand?" (6:17), sealing (7:3), palm branches (7:9), skenosei (7:15). Direct evidence: E022 — Fifth seal altar (unqualified thysiasteriou, DOA-resonant sacrifice phase). E025 — Palm branches (phoinix G5404, Tabernacles). E027 — Hear/see pattern. E028 — Ezekiel 9 sealing parallel. Assessment: MODERATE. No single element is exclusively DOA-specific. The altar cry is DOA-resonant (sacrifice precedes atonement). "Who shall stand?" echoes the DOA question. Sealing parallels DOA faithful identification. Palm branches + skenosei = Tabernacles post-DOA scene (I008). Cumulative DOA-moderate. Internal vs. Structural: MIXED. Some internal resonance (altar, palms) plus structural position as opening of the judgment sequence.

Rev 8:1-5 — Censer / Incense Transition (DOA: STRONG)

Context: Seventh seal opens with silence. Angel with censer performs incense ritual, then casts fire to earth. DOA elements tested: Silence, portable censer + altar fire + incense, five-element cluster (AN022), fire cast to earth, theophany. Direct evidence: E030 — AN022 five-element DOA censer parallel (STRONG). E031 — libanotos hapax pair. E032 — SP119 triple-attested vessel transformation. E033 — TM057 theophany escalation. E034 — Num 16:46-48 contrast. E036 — Silence tradition. Assessment: STRONG. NULL HYPOTHESIS REJECTED. The five-element censer parallel matches the UNIQUE DOA procedure of Lev 16:12-13. The portable-censer-from-brazen-altar procedure is not replicated in any daily service or other festival. This is the passage where DOA evidence becomes genuinely strong. Internal vs. Structural: INTERNAL. The censer ritual itself (not just its structural position) is DOA-specific.

Rev 8:7-12 — Trumpets 1-4 (DOA: MODERATE individually, STRONG structurally)

Context: First four trumpets targeting creation domains (land, sea, rivers, luminaries). DOA elements tested: Creation-domain targeting, Exodus allusions, 1/3 fraction, intercessory framework. Direct evidence: E040 — SP055 trumpet-bowl domain correspondence. E041 — SP041 creation-domain targeting. E043 — 4+3 structural division. E045 — Trumpets within active intercessory framework. Assessment: MODERATE individually, STRONG structurally. Individual trumpet elements are NOT DOA-specific. But trumpets operate within the DOA-patterned censer framework (AN022), connect to DOA-marked bowls via SP055, and parallel the Feast of Trumpets calendar position. Internal vs. Structural: STRUCTURAL. No internal DOA-specific vocabulary; DOA significance derives from the surrounding framework (AN022 censer, SP055 bowl correspondence).

Rev 9 — Trumpets 5-6 / Woes (DOA: MODERATE)

Context: Demonic locusts (5th trumpet), Euphrates army (6th trumpet). Impenitence noted. DOA elements tested: Abyss opening, altar voice (9:13), impenitence, fraction escalation. Direct evidence: E046 — Impenitence escalation. E047 — SP037 Stage 3 (altar voice at 9:13). E048 — SP056 impenitence confirmed. E051 — Golden altar still operational during trumpet period. Assessment: MODERATE. No individual element DOA-specific in isolation. Operates within DOA-established intercessory framework. Altar voice (9:13) from DOA-pattern censer altar maintains DOA continuity. DOA-moderate individually, DOA-strong structurally. Internal vs. Structural: STRUCTURAL. Internal content (locusts, Euphrates army) is not DOA imagery; DOA relevance is positional.

Rev 10:1-11:13 — Little Book / Two Witnesses (DOA: WEAK)

Context: Angel with little book, John's prophetic recommission, temple measurement, two witnesses. DOA elements tested: Naos measurement, 1260-day period, beast from abyss. Direct evidence: E052 — Sealed-to-unsealed arc. E055 — 1260-day chain. E056 — Moses/Elijah powers. Assessment: WEAK. Predominantly DOA-NEUTRAL. No element distinctively DOA-specific. Naos measurement = general protection motif. 1260-day period from Daniel, not DOA. Beast from abyss = general antagonist. Null hypothesis SUSTAINED. Internal vs. Structural: Neither DOA-internal nor DOA-structural. Bracketed by DOA-connected elements (8:1-5 before, 11:15-19 after) without being DOA-specific.

Rev 11:15-19 — Seventh Trumpet / Ark Revealed (DOA: VERY STRONG)

Context: Seventh trumpet sounds. Kingdom announcement. Temple opened, ark visible. Maximum theophany. DOA elements tested: Ark visible (kibotos tes diathekes), naos opened, theophany maximum, judgment context, post-censer timing, testimony bracket, Jubilee trumpet. Direct evidence: N014 — AN040 (ark = MHP access on DOA). N015 — Testimony bracket. E065 — TM057 maximum theophany. E066 — SP044 programmatic announcement. I009-B — Jubilee fulfillment. Assessment: VERY STRONG. NULL HYPOTHESIS FAILS. 5 of 7 elements are DOA-specific. Ark visible = MHP access ONLY on DOA (Lev 16:2; Heb 9:7). Naos opened = MHP opened annually. Jubilee trumpet on DOA (Lev 25:9). Strongest single-verse DOA evidence at Rev 11:19. Internal vs. Structural: BOTH. Internal (the ark itself is DOA-specific furnishing) AND structural (serves as the chiastic pivot).

Rev 12 — Woman / Dragon / War in Heaven (DOA: WEAK internally, MODERATE structurally)

Context: Woman, dragon, war in heaven, persecution of the remnant. DOA elements tested: Commandment-keeping (12:17), skene (13:6), structural bracket position. Direct evidence: N017 — Remnant commandment-keeping connects to ark-law at 11:19. I010-B — Remnant emergence during judgment-hour. Assessment: WEAK internally, MODERATE structurally. Contains NO DOA-exclusive elements. Vocabulary draws on general covenant/conflict themes. DOA significance is POSITIONAL — within the DOA-framed 11:19-15:5 bracket. Internal vs. Structural: STRUCTURAL only. The bracket governs; internal content is great-controversy narrative.

Rev 13:1-10 — Sea Beast (DOA: WEAK internally, MODERATE structurally)

Context: Sea beast with Daniel's composite features. 42-month authority. War against saints. DOA elements tested: skene attack (13:6), 42-month chronology, Daniel composite. Direct evidence: I011-B — Beast attacks tabernacle from which DOA judgment proceeds. E108 (structural, not DOA). Assessment: WEAK internally, MODERATE structurally. NO DOA-exclusive internal vocabulary. skene is general sanctuary. DOA significance entirely STRUCTURAL and RELATIONAL. Internal vs. Structural: STRUCTURAL only.

Rev 13:11-18 — Earth Beast / Mark (DOA: WEAK internally, MODERATE structurally)

Context: Earth beast performs signs. Image of the beast. Mark enforced. DOA elements tested: Mark-worship test, forced worship, death decree. Direct evidence: I012-B — Mark-worship test analogous to DOA affliction test. Assessment: WEAK internally, MODERATE structurally. NO DOA-exclusive vocabulary. Mark, image, signs = general great-controversy warfare. DOA significance entirely structural (within 11:19-15:5 bracket) and contextual. Internal vs. Structural: STRUCTURAL only.

Rev 14:1-13 — Three Angels / Hour of Judgment (DOA: MODERATE-TO-STRONG)

Context: 144,000 with Lamb. Three angels' messages. Judgment hour announced. DOA elements tested: Judgment-hour announcement (14:7), ark-law-commandments chain, firstfruits, hypomonē, bracket position. Direct evidence: E081 — Aorist elthen. E082 — Creator formula parallel to Exo 20:11. N022 — Ark-law-commandments chain. N024 — krisis-mishpat-nitsdaq chain to Dan 8:14. Assessment: MODERATE-TO-STRONG. Null hypothesis PARTIALLY FAILS for three elements: (1) judgment-hour (14:7) connects to Dan 8:14 sanctuary vindication; (2) structural placement within DOA bracket; (3) ark-law-commandments chain. Null hypothesis SURVIVES for mark-or-seal binary, firstfruits, hypomonē. Internal vs. Structural: MIXED. Judgment announcement is partially internal DOA evidence; bracket placement is structural.

Rev 14:14-20 — Harvest of Earth (DOA: MODERATE)

Context: Son of Man on cloud. Grain harvest. Winepress harvest. DOA elements tested: Harvest imagery, winepress, altar-fire authority, bracket position. Direct evidence: E087 — Altar grammatically unqualified (thysiasteriou). I013-B — Feast-calendar harvest progression. Assessment: MODERATE. Harvest imagery is general eschatological. Winepress is general prophetic. But altar-fire authority traces to DOA-paralleled censer scene. Passage sits within DOA bracket. DOA-moderate: structural and sequential rather than internal. Internal vs. Structural: STRUCTURAL primarily.

Rev 15:1-8 — Bowl Prelude / "No Man Enters" (DOA: VERY STRONG)

Context: Seven angels with plagues. Song of Moses. Temple opened. Smoke fills temple. No man able to enter. DOA elements tested: Universal exclusion (15:8), temporal "until" limit, triple-genitive testimony, vessel transformation, smoke from glory, priestly linen, gemizo voice shift, Num 16 contrast. Direct evidence: E088 — AN043 three-element allusion (VERY STRONG). E089 — SP054 composite allusion (VERY STRONG). N027 — TM100 triple-genitive. N028 — gemizo voice shift. E034 — Num 16:46-48 contrast. E032 — SP119 vessel transformation. Assessment: VERY STRONG. NULL HYPOTHESIS FIRMLY REJECTED. STRONGEST DOA RESULT IN ENTIRE SERIES. Universal exclusion (kol adam) + temporal "until" + sanctuary location = features unique to DOA, not replicated in ANY other service. The passage CANNOT make equal sense without DOA typology. Internal vs. Structural: INTERNAL. The "no man able to enter" language itself (not just its position) is DOA-specific.

Rev 16 — Seven Bowls (DOA: STRONG)

Context: Seven bowl judgments poured out. Armageddon. "It is done." DOA elements tested: Closed temple, divine voice from naos, absent intercession, total scope, unmixed wrath, Exodus parallels, thymos vocabulary, gegonen completion. Direct evidence: N031 — Voice from naos = God alone inside. N030 — Rev 16:9 inverts Rev 14:7. E090 — SP037 Stage 5. E091 — Truncated existence formula. E092 — Gegonen/telesthosin bracket. N041 — kalah-gegonen parallel. Assessment: STRONG. Null hypothesis REJECTED for bowl series as whole. Closed temple (AN043), divine solitude, absent intercession, total scope, unmixed wrath all depend on DOA exclusion of Rev 15:8 / Lev 16:17. Individual bowl elements not DOA-specific, but FRAMEWORK IS DOA-specific. Internal vs. Structural: BOTH. Framework is DOA-internal (closed temple governs all seven bowls); individual bowl content is not DOA-specific.

Rev 17 — Great Harlot / Beast (DOA: WEAK)

Context: Babylon the great. Seven-headed beast. Political-religious identification. DOA elements tested: No specific DOA elements tested; ecclesiological/political domain. Direct evidence: E096 — 17:1 || 21:9 structural parallel (not DOA). None DOA-classified. Assessment: WEAK. Null hypothesis SURVIVES. Operates in ecclesiological/political-prophetic domain. NO elements unique to DOA ceremony. Positional DOA relevance only (expands DOA-governed 7th bowl). Internal vs. Structural: Neither for DOA. Positional only.

Rev 18 — Babylon's Fall (DOA: WEAK)

Context: Fall of Babylon. "Come out of her." Merchants and kings mourn. DOA elements tested: Anti-Jubilee theme (indirect). No DOA-specific elements. Direct evidence: E100 — Vindication cognate accusative. None DOA-classified. Assessment: WEAK. Like Rev 17, operates in ecclesiological/political-prophetic domain. Only candidate: anti-Jubilee through Lev 25:9 (indirect). No DOA-specific elements internally. Internal vs. Structural: Neither for DOA. Positional only.

Rev 19 — Hallelujah / Marriage Supper / Second Coming (DOA: WEAK)

Context: Hallelujah chorus. Marriage of the Lamb. Christ as warrior king. DOA elements tested: No DOA-specific elements; hallelujah = general liturgical, marriage = general covenant, winepress = general judgment. Direct evidence: E102 — SP037 Stage 6 (aorist vindication). E106 — Testimony = spirit of prophecy. None DOA-classified. Assessment: WEAK. Null hypothesis SURVIVES. No DOA-specific elements. Internal vs. Structural: Neither for DOA.

Rev 20:1-6 — Scapegoat / Satan Bound / Millennium (DOA: VERY STRONG)

Context: Angel binds Satan. Bottomless pit. 1000 years. Priest-kings reign. DOA elements tested: Six-element scapegoat correspondence, ish itti parallel, wilderness-abyss, post-atonement timing, sin imputation, three sin categories. Direct evidence: E107 — Six-element scapegoat typology (VERY STRONG). N039 — Wilderness-abyss correspondence. N040 — Most structurally precise DOA antitype. N041 — kalah-gegonen parallel. Assessment: VERY STRONG. NULL HYPOTHESIS STRONGLY REJECTED. The scapegoat ritual is the most EXCLUSIVELY DOA-specific element in the entire Levitical system. No parallel in daily, weekly, or any other festival. Six structural elements reproduced. For 20:4-6, DOA connection is MODERATE (priestly review has DOA resonance but draws from Dan 7). Internal vs. Structural: INTERNAL. The scapegoat imagery itself (not just position) is DOA-specific.

Rev 20:11-15 — Great White Throne (DOA: MODERATE-TO-STRONG)

Context: Great white throne judgment. Books opened. Book of life. Lake of fire. DOA elements tested: Throne judgment, books, book of life, lake of fire, position in sequence. Direct evidence: E109 — Dan 7:22 fulfillment (judgment given to saints). E113 — Dan 7:9-10 third distribution. N042 — Three-phase judgment structure. N043 — Book of life as DOA determination. I015-B — Phase C judgment. Assessment: MODERATE-TO-STRONG. Throne itself not DOA-ritual-specific. DOA connection through: (1) position in DOA SEQUENCE following scapegoat; (2) book of life as atonement determination. Null hypothesis partially sustained for judgment scene itself but rejected for POSITION. Internal vs. Structural: STRUCTURAL primarily. Position in the DOA sequence (post-scapegoat) is the DOA connection.

Rev 21:1-22:5 — New Jerusalem / Tabernacles (DOA: STRONG via calendar)

Context: New heaven and earth. New Jerusalem descends. God dwells with men. No temple. DOA elements tested: skene/skenoo double root, DOA-to-Tabernacles calendar, Isa 4:4-6, Rev 7:9-17 prolepsis, "no temple," river from throne, curse reversal. Direct evidence: E118 — skene + skenoo co-occurrence (ONLY NT verse). E121 — Zec 14:16-19 (Tabernacles as only surviving feast). E124 — Isa 4:6 sukkah. N044 — DOA-to-Tabernacles calendar sequence. N045 — SP111 Genesis-Revelation bookend. Assessment: STRONG through calendar position. Contains TABERNACLES elements (skene/skenoo, palm branches, living water), not DOA RITUAL elements. But Tabernacles is structurally dependent on DOA completion (Tishri 10 -> 15). Calendar placement IS DOA-specific. Internal vs. Structural: MIXED. Internal vocabulary is Tabernacles-specific (not DOA), but the calendar relationship to DOA is a structural/theological DOA connection.

Rev 22:6-21 — Epilogue (DOA: WEAK)

Context: Canonical closure. Christological attestation. "Come, Lord Jesus." DOA elements tested: Moral fixedness (22:11), beatitude (22:14). Direct evidence: E126 — Rev 22:10 unsealing directive. None DOA-classified. Assessment: WEAK. Null hypothesis holds. No sanctuary ritual vocabulary. Epilogue is the FRAME, not the painting. Internal vs. Structural: Neither for DOA.

Patterns Identified

Pattern 1: DOA-Specific Evidence Clusters at Structural Boundaries

The strongest DOA evidence concentrates at the BOUNDARIES between major sections, not within them: - Rev 8:1-5 (seals/trumpets boundary) — AN022, 5-element censer - Rev 11:15-19 (trumpets/great controversy boundary) — AN040, ark revealed - Rev 15:1-8 (great controversy/bowls boundary) — AN043, "no man enters" - Rev 20:1-3 (bowls-Babylon/millennium boundary) — E107, scapegoat

Supported by: Rev 8:3-5 (E030), Rev 11:19 (N014), Rev 15:8 (E088), Rev 20:1-3 (E107)

Pattern 2: Internal Content vs. Structural Framework Divergence

Sections between the DOA boundary-markers contain predominantly NON-DOA internal content: - Trumpets 1-6 (Rev 8:7-9:21): Exodus plague imagery, not DOA ritual - Great controversy (Rev 12-14 internal): Cosmic conflict narrative, not DOA ritual - Individual bowl contents (Rev 16): Exodus plague escalation, not DOA ritual - Babylon-Marriage (Rev 17-19): Political-prophetic imagery, not DOA ritual

Supported by: rev-06 through rev-12 assessments, rev-16 through rev-19 assessments

Pattern 3: The DOA Operates as a Sequential Progression Through the Central Judgment Spine

The DOA elements track a sequential order matching Lev 16's ritual sequence: 1. Sacrifice (Rev 6 altar) → 2. Censer/Incense (Rev 8:1-5) → 3. Trumpets/Warnings (Rev 8:7-11:14) → 4. MHP Entry/Ark (Rev 11:19) → 5. No Man Enters (Rev 15:8) → 6. Wrath Poured (Rev 16) → 7. Scapegoat (Rev 20:1-3) → 8. Tabernacles (Rev 21:1-22:5)

Supported by: SP120 progression, AN022, AN040, AN043, E107, N044

Pattern 4: The Frame Sections (Prologue, Letters, Epilogue) Are DOA-Free

Rev 1, Rev 2-3, and Rev 22:6-21 contain NO DOA-specific evidence. They serve as the literary FRAME of the book, using different organizing principles (prophetic commission, ecclesiology, canonical attestation).

Supported by: N001, N002, rev-01 assessment, rev-02 assessment, rev-23 assessment

Pattern 5: The DOA-Tabernacles Calendar Bridge

The feast calendar (Trumpets → DOA → Tabernacles = Tishri 1 → 10 → 15) tracks in Revelation (Trumpets Rev 8-11 → DOA pivot/bowls Rev 11:19-16 → scapegoat Rev 20 → Tabernacles Rev 21-22).

Supported by: E025, E118, E121, E124, N044, I008, I013-B

Word Study Integration

Key DOA-specific vocabulary across all studies: - libanotos (G3031): Portable censer, 2 NT uses only (Rev 8:3, 8:5). The DOA-specific implement. - naos (G3485): Inner shrine, 16x in Revelation. Never hieron. Every temple reference = innermost sacred space. - kibotos (G2787): Ark, 6 NT uses. Only Rev 11:19 places it in heaven — DOA-specific MHP access. - skene (G4633): Tabernacle, 20 NT uses. Tabernacles-specific vocabulary via sukkah-skene LXX bridge. - skenoo (G4637): To tabernacle/dwell, 5 NT uses (ALL Johannine). Rev 21:3 = Tabernacles fulfillment. - phiale (G5357): Bowl/vial, all 12 NT uses in Revelation. Vessel transformation from prayer to wrath. - thysiasterion (G2379): Altar, tracks across seals-trumpets-harvest-bowls in vindication arc (SP037). - kapnos (G2586): Smoke, 12 of 13 NT uses in Revelation. Direction shift marks DOA transition.

The vocabulary distribution confirms the DOA framework: DOA-specific terms (libanotos, kibotos) appear at the structural boundaries; general sanctuary terms (naos, thysiasterion) appear throughout; Tabernacles-specific terms (skene, skenoo) appear at the eschatological endpoint.

Cross-Testament Connections

The DOA framework operates through cross-testament typology: 1. Lev 16:12-13 → Rev 8:3-5: Censer ritual. Five shared elements. The antitype intensifies the type. 2. Lev 16:17 → Rev 15:8: "No man" exclusion. Three shared elements with intensification (prohibition → impossibility). 3. Lev 16:20-22 → Rev 20:1-3: Scapegoat. Six structural elements. The most precise typological correspondence. 4. Lev 23:34-43 → Rev 21:3: Tabernacles → New Jerusalem. Calendar sequence preserved. 5. Lev 16:2/Heb 9:7 → Rev 11:19: Ark access → MHP opened. Annual DOA restriction fulfilled. 6. Dan 7:9-10 → Rev 4:2-5:13 → Rev 11:15-18 → Rev 14:7 → Rev 20:11-12: The judgment-throne scene distributes across Revelation with DOA-specific elements at each major distribution point. 7. Lev 25:9 → Rev 11:15: Jubilee trumpet sounds ON the DOA. Seventh trumpet = cosmic Jubilee.

Difficult or Complicating Passages

1. The Great Controversy Center (Rev 12-14): DOA-Governed or DOA-Resistant?

These chapters sit within the 11:19-15:5 DOA bracket but contain predominantly non-DOA internal content. The woman, dragon, beasts, and two harvests are great-controversy motifs, not DOA ritual. Only the judgment announcement (14:7) and the ark-law chain pass the DOA-specificity test. The difficulty: if DOA governs these chapters only STRUCTURALLY (via bracket), is that genuine DOA governance or mere incidental placement?

2. Rev 17-19: The DOA Gap

Three consecutive chapters with NO DOA evidence at all — not even structural. This is the longest DOA-free stretch in the book's second half. If DOA is the MASTER template, why does it disappear here? The best explanation: these chapters elaborate the CONSEQUENCE of DOA judgment (Babylon falls as a result of the bowls) but are not themselves part of the DOA ritual sequence.

3. The General Sanctuary Problem

Many items classified as DOA could equally be classified as general sanctuary: altar, incense, priestly garments, temple vocabulary, theophany. The DOA-specific items are relatively few (AN022, AN043, E107, AN040). The question: does the DOA framework rest on a small number of genuinely DOA-specific items embedded in a much larger general sanctuary context?

4. The Maximalist vs. Nuanced Thesis

The day-of-atonement-revelation-chiasm study proposed DOA as template for the ENTIRE book. The 23-study null-hypothesis testing shows this is too broad. Sections where DOA is WEAK (Rev 1, 2-3, 10-11:13, 17-19, 22:6-21) resist DOA classification. The maximalist thesis must be modified.

5. Calendar Sequence: Textual or Theological?

The Tishri 1/10/15 sequence (Trumpets → DOA → Tabernacles) tracks in Revelation, but Leviticus 23 does not explicitly theologize the sequence. The spring feasts' precise fulfillment supports the prophetic-calendar reading, but the fall feasts' typological application is an interpretive framework, not a textual demonstration.

Preliminary Synthesis

The evidence points decisively toward the NUANCED position (Model B): The Day of Atonement is the organizing theology of Revelation's CENTRAL JUDGMENT SEQUENCE, but NOT the blueprint for the entire book.

The central judgment spine — from the censer transition (Rev 8:1-5) through the ark pivot (Rev 11:19) through the exclusion/bowls (Rev 15-16) through the scapegoat (Rev 20:1-3) to Tabernacles (Rev 21:1-22:5) — contains all four VERY STRONG/STRONG DOA-specific passages and follows the Lev 16 ritual sequence in order. This is beyond selective correspondence.

The frame sections (Rev 1, 2-3, 22:6-21) and several internal sections (Rev 10-11:13, 17-19) are organized by different principles (prophetic commission, ecclesiology, political-prophetic narrative, canonical attestation). The DOA framework does not explain them and should not be stretched to cover them.

IC096 should be resolved as: Intentional structural design for the central judgment sequence; selective correspondence or positional resonance for the rest. The DOA is one of several concurrent organizing frameworks, but it is the PRIMARY framework for the judgment-spine of the book.
