Critical Notes: 1. Two altars mentioned: epi tou thysiastēriou (genitive — at/upon the [brazen?] altar) and epi to thysiastērion to chrysoun (accusative — upon the golden altar). The angel STANDS at one altar and OFFERS on the other. 2. tais proseuchais (dative plural) — "with the prayers" — dative of accompaniment/association. The incense is offered WITH the prayers, not AS the prayers (contrast Rev 5:8 where eisin = "they ARE"). 3. pantōn (all) qualifying hagiōn (saints) — emphatic universal scope absent from Rev 5:8. 4. edothē (aorist passive) = divine passive — the incense was GIVEN to the angel by God.

Critical Notes: 1. eilēphen (PERFECT tense) = "has taken" — completed action with abiding result. The perfect tense in a predominantly aorist narrative is significant. 2. ton libanoton with article = THE censer, the SAME one from v.3. Explicitly the same vessel. 3. egemisen + ebalen (aorist pair) = rapid sequential actions: filled-then-cast. 4. Four theophany elements: brontai, phōnai, astrapai, seismos. Note seismos is NEW compared to Rev 4:5.

Critical Note: eisin (present indicative of eimi) = equative "ARE." The golden bowls full of incense ARE the prayers of saints. NOT "represent" but ARE. Contrast Rev 8:3 where incense is offered WITH (dative) prayers.
