Word Lemma Strong's Parsing
ἱκάνωσεν ἱκανόω G2427 V-AAI-3S -- "made competent/sufficient"
διακόνους διάκονος G1249 N-APM -- "ministers/servants"
καινῆς καινός G2537 A-GSF -- "new" (genitive)
διαθήκης διαθήκη G1242 N-GSF -- "covenant" (genitive)
γράμματος γράμμα G1121 N-GSN -- "letter" (genitive)

3:7

Greek: Εἰ δὲ ἡ διακονία τοῦ θανάτου ἐν γράμμασιν ἐντετυπωμένη λίθοις ἐγενήθη ἐν δόξῃ...τὴν καταργουμένην

Word Lemma Strong's Parsing
διακονία διακονία G1248 N-NSF -- "ministration/ministry" (Nom Sg F)
θανάτου θάνατος G2288 N-GSM -- "of death"
γράμμασιν γράμμα G1121 N-DPN -- "in letters" (Dat Pl N)
ἐντετυπωμένη ἐντυπόω G1795 V-RPP-NSF -- "having been engraved" (Perf Pass Ptcp Nom Sg F)

δόξῃ δόξα G1391 N-DSF -- "in glory"
καταργουμένην καταργέω G2673 V-PPP-ASF -- "being done away" (Pres Pass Ptcp Acc Sg F)

Key grammatical observation: katargoumenēn is Accusative Singular FEMININE. It agrees with tēn doxan (the glory, Acc Sg F), NOT with diakonia (ministration, Nom Sg F) or gramma (letter, neuter). The thing "being done away" is the GLORY of Moses' face, not the law itself.

3:8

  • diakonia tou pneumatos = "the ministration of the spirit" (N-NSF + N-GSN)

3:9

  • diakonia tēs katakriseos = "the ministration of condemnation" (N-NSF + N-GSF)
  • diakonia tēs dikaiosunēs = "the ministration of righteousness" (N-NSF + N-GSF)

μένον μένω G3306 V-PAP-NSN -- "remaining" (Pres Act Ptcp Nom Sg Neuter)

Key: In v.11, katargoumenon is NEUTER (agreeing with to = "that which"), and menon is also NEUTER. The contrast is between "that which is being abolished" (neuter) and "that which remains" (neuter).
