Key terms:

Romans 11:25-26

Rom 11:25: πώρωσις ἀπὸ μέρους τῷ Ἰσραὴλ γέγονεν ἄχρι οὗ τὸ πλήρωμα τῶν ἐθνῶν εἰσέλθῃ

Key terms:
- ἄχρι οὗ (achri hou) = "until" — temporal conjunction implying terminus
  πώρωσις (porosis) = "hardening/blindness" — from πωρόω
  "Blindness in part has happened to Israel UNTIL the fullness of the Gentiles comes in"
  FUT reads: achri hou implies the hardening will end = future restoration of national Israel

Rom 11:26: καὶ οὕτως πᾶς Ἰσραὴλ σωθήσεται
- οὕτως (houtos) = "in this manner/so" — adverb of manner, NOT temporal "and then"
  "And SO all Israel shall be saved" — describes the MANNER of salvation
  Could mean: "in this way" (through grafting of Gentiles AND believing Jews) = spiritual Israel
  Or: "and THEN" (after Gentile fullness) = future national Israel restoration
- σωθήσεται (sothesetai) = Future Passive Indicative, "shall be saved"

Revelation 17:8

Greek: τὸ θηρίον ὃ εἶδες ἦν καὶ οὐκ ἔστιν, καὶ μέλλει ἀναβαίνειν ἐκ τῆς ἀβύσσου...
       ὅτι ἦν καὶ οὐκ ἔστιν καὶ παρέσται.

Key terms:

  Address is to JOHN personally ("I" saw, "the first voice... talking with ME")
  Not a corporate address to the church. φωνή addressed to εμοῦ (me, first person singular)
  FUT rapture reading requires "come up here" to mean universal church departure
  But grammar: 2nd person singular imperative to one specific person

1 Thessalonians 4:16

Greek: ὅτι αὐτὸς ὁ Κύριος ἐν κελεύσματι, ἐν φωνῇ ἀρχαγγέλου καὶ ἐν σάλπιγγι Θεοῦ,
       καταβήσεται ἀπ' οὐρανοῦ, καὶ οἱ νεκροὶ ἐν Χριστῷ ἀναστήσονται πρῶτον,

Key terms:
- κελεύσματι (keleusmati) G2752 = "shout/command" — dative of accompaniment

NOTE: Eph 2:14-16 uses FOUR completed-action terms (lysas, katargesas, ktise, apokteinas) to describe
  the Jew/Gentile unification as accomplished fact. This directly counters FUT's Israel/Church distinction.

1 Thessalonians 4:17

Greek: ἔπειτα ἡμεῖς οἱ ζῶντες οἱ περιλειπόμενοι ἅμα σὺν αὐτοῖς ἁρπαγησόμεθα ἐν νεφέλαις
       εἰς ἀπάντησιν τοῦ Κυρίου εἰς ἀέρα· καὶ οὕτως πάντοτε σὺν Κυρίῳ ἐσόμεθα.

Key terms:
- ἁρπαγησόμεθα (harpagesometha) G726 = V-2FPI-1P ἁρπάζω — Future Passive Indicative 1st Plural
  "we shall be caught up/snatched" — same root as Rev 12:5 herpasthe (Christ caught up to God)
  Future tense — the gathering has not yet happened; this is the one Second Coming event
- εἰς ἀπάντησιν (eis apantesin) G529 = "to a meeting/encounter"
  apantesis = technical term for civic reception: citizens go OUT to meet arriving dignitary, then ESCORT BACK
  Used in Matt 25:6 (virgins go out to MEET bridegroom) and Acts 28:15 (Romans go out to MEET Paul)
  Pattern: go out → meet → return together. NOT: go out → stay away. The Lord CONTINUES to earth.
- ἐν νεφέλαις (en nephelais) = "in clouds" — PUBLIC, visible event (cf. Rev 1:7 "every eye shall see")
- πάντοτε σὺν Κυρίῳ (pantote syn Kyrio) = "always with the Lord" — permanent reunion
  Contrast Rev 4:1: John alone, private vision, singular address. 1 Thess 4:17: corporate, public, plural.
