HIST Re-Validation Report¶

Issue 1 (LAYER 1): Christophany element count — PARTIALLY RESOLVED¶
Original problem: The Dan 10:5-6 Christophany parallel was described as "five-point" / "five-element" when the text itself lists six elements (linen, gold girdle, lightning face, fiery eyes, bronze limbs, multitude voice).
What was fixed: 03-analysis.md lines 22 and 24 now correctly read "Six-element description" and "six-point parallel with Rev 1:13-16". This is the primary analysis location and the fix is correct.
What remains unfixed: The same "five-element" / "five elements" error persists in three other locations that were not updated:
| File | Line | Current text (excerpt) |
|---|---|---|
CONCLUSION.md |
82 | E18: "Dan 10:5-6 five-element description parallels Rev 1:13-16" |
CONCLUSION.md |
286 | "describes a glorious figure with five elements paralleling Rev 1:13-16" |
04-word-studies.md |
448 | "The five-element description in Dan 10:5-6 closely parallels Rev 1:13-16" |
These three occurrences should be updated to "six-element" / "six elements" to match the corrected 03-analysis.md and to match the parenthetical content in E18 itself, which already lists six items (linen, gold, lightning face, fiery eyes, bronze limbs, multitude voice).
Issue 2 (LAYER 2): Close-of-probation in Specification-Match Matrix row 14 — RESOLVED¶
Original problem: Row 14 (Dan 12:1 Michael = Christ) lacked the HIST close-of-probation specification that was documented in inference I16.
What was fixed: Row 14 HIST cell now reads: "Christ (title progression + voice convergence); secondary spec: close of probation I-A(3) LOW-MED". This correctly reflects inference I16 and its classification level.
Verification: I16 in the inference table (line 130) classifies the close-of-probation reading as HIST, I-A(3), LOW-MED. Row 14 now matches.
Aggregate Tally Check (Pre-Existing Discrepancy)¶
The Positional Tally table (lines 192-200) was cross-checked against the inference table entries. HIST inferences in the inference table are:
- I1 (willful king = papacy) I-A(2)
- I4 (Michael = Christ) I-A(1)
- I6 (nagiyd berith = Christ) I-A(2)
- I8 (KoN Sub-A) I-A(3)
- I9 (KoN Sub-B) I-A(2) -- mutually exclusive with I8
- I12 (day-year) I-A(1)
- I16 (close of probation) I-A(3)
The Positional Tally shows HIST I-A = 5, total = 5. The HIST inference profile (line 202) lists only I4, I6, I1, I8, I12 -- omitting both I9 and I16. I9 may be intentionally excluded as an alternative sub-position to I8 (they are mutually exclusive readings of the same passage). However, I16 is a standalone inference that should be counted, bringing HIST I-A to 6 and total to 6.
This discrepancy is pre-existing -- I16 was present in the inference table before the current edit pass. The row 14 fix did not introduce this issue; it merely made the Specification-Match Matrix consistent with what the inference table already said. Flagging for awareness but not scoring as a new issue from this edit pass.
Summary¶
| Issue | Status | Action needed |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Six-point Christophany | Partially fixed | Update "five-element"/"five elements" to "six-element"/"six elements" in CONCLUSION.md (lines 82, 286) and 04-word-studies.md (line 448) |
| 2. Close-of-probation row 14 | Fully resolved | None |
| Pre-existing: HIST tally undercount | Not from this edit pass | HIST I-A count and profile (lines 196, 200, 202) should include I16; currently shows 5 instead of 6 |
