Issue-by-Issue Verification¶
L1-MISS-1: "Prayer = occasion; mar'eh = purpose" framing missing¶
Status: RESOLVED
The framing now appears in both files: - CONCLUSION.md Section I (biyn chain): "Crucially, Daniel's prayer about Jeremiah's 70 years is the OCCASION for Gabriel's visit, but the mar'eh explanation is the PURPOSE. Gabriel does NOT answer Daniel's question about the 70-year exile — he introduces 70 WEEKS using ch. 8 vocabulary (biyn, mar'eh). This distinguishes between what prompted the visit (Daniel's prayer) and what Gabriel was sent to deliver (the time-element explanation from ch. 8)." - 03-analysis.md Dan 9:20-21 section: "Critically, Daniel's prayer about Jeremiah's 70 years is the OCCASION for Gabriel's visit, but the mar'eh explanation is the PURPOSE."
The fix is correct and introduces no new problems. The occasion/purpose distinction is clearly articulated and properly placed in both the narrative analysis and the conclusion.
L1-MISS-2: Kethiv/Qere variant in Dan 9:24 purpose #2 missing¶
Status: RESOLVED
The Kethiv/Qere variant now appears in both files: - CONCLUSION.md Section IV (Shared Vocabulary Network): Parenthetical note explaining the Kethiv reads chatham ("to seal up sin") creating an echo with purpose #5, while the Qere reads tamam reinforcing the tamam/pesha bridge to 8:23. Notes both readings strengthen the Dan 8-9 connection. - 03-analysis.md Dan 9:24 section, purpose #2: Full NOTE block explaining the Kethiv/Qere variant with both readings and their respective connections.
The fix is correct. The variant is presented accurately (Kethiv = chatham, Qere = tamam), both readings are shown to support the Dan 8-9 connection through different vocabulary chains, and no overclaiming is introduced.
L1-MISS-3: sar/nagid prince chain not developed¶
Status: RESOLVED
The prince chain now appears in both files: - CONCLUSION.md: Dedicated subsection "### The sar/nagid Prince Chain" after the main analysis sections. Three titles identified: sar ha-tsaba (8:11), sar sarim (8:25), mashiach nagiyd (9:25). Escalation pattern described (host commander -> supreme prince -> anointed ruler). Dual-perspective argument articulated (ch. 8 from antagonist's view, ch. 9 from protagonist's view). - 03-analysis.md Dan 8:24-25: "Prince vocabulary chain:" paragraph with the same three-title chain and cross-chapter unity argument.
The fix is correct and well-integrated. The chain is developed with specific verse references and the escalation logic is sound. No new problems introduced.
L2-MISC-1: gabar beriyth classified N-tier -> should be I-A(1) HIGH¶

The classification has been corrected in both files: - 03-analysis.md Claim #13: Classification = "I-A(1) HIGH", Confidence = "HIGH". Rationale: "gabar + beriyth occurs only here; some argue gabar can mean 'impose' or 'overpower' a covenant; the single occurrence prevents N-tier certainty, but the karath contrast and bebaioo parallel support HIGH confidence." - CONCLUSION.md Classification Tally: gabar beriyth listed under "I-A(1) HIGH" row (8 items). - CONCLUSION.md Linguistic Claims: gabar vs. karath distinction listed under I-LEX (appropriate for the lexical dimension), with note that "single occurrence of gabar + beriyth limits certainty."
The fix is correct. The single-occurrence limitation properly prevents N-tier classification while the supporting evidence (karath contrast, bebaioo parallel) justifies HIGH confidence at I-A(1).
L2-MISC-2: chathak "cut off" classified N-LEX -> should be I-LEX¶
Status: RESOLVED
The classification has been corrected: - 03-analysis.md Claim row for chathak: Classification = "I-LEX" with note: "BDB gives 'cut off' as the primary meaning, but HALOT treats 'determine' as primary. When major lexicons disagree on the primary sense, the claim cannot reach N-LEX." - CONCLUSION.md Linguistic Claims: N-LEX = 0; I-LEX = 4, with chathak listed as "chathak 'cut off' as primary — BDB supports but HALOT disagrees."
The fix is correct. The BDB/HALOT disagreement is a legitimate reason to classify at I-LEX rather than N-LEX. The rationale is clearly stated.
L2-FMT-1: Confidence inconsistency in claim #11¶
Status: RESOLVED
Claim #11 ("He" in 9:27 = Messiah) now shows: - 03-analysis.md: Classification = "I-A(1) HIGH", Confidence = "MED-HIGH" - CONCLUSION.md tally: Listed under "I-A(1) MED-HIGH" row (2 items, alongside qodesh qodashim = heavenly sanctuary)
The tally groups claims by their effective confidence level, not just the inference tier. Claim #11 is I-A(1) at MED-HIGH confidence, and it is tallied under I-A(1) MED-HIGH. This is internally consistent. The grammatical ambiguity (nearest antecedent = nagiyd ha-ba) correctly limits confidence to MED-HIGH despite the strong contextual/verbal evidence.
L2-FMT-2: Classification tally formatting¶
Status: RESOLVED
The CONCLUSION.md Classification Tally now has: - Clean table format with Classification | Count | Examples columns - Proper counts: E=3, N=4, I-A(1) HIGH=8, I-A(2) MED=1, I-A(1) MED-HIGH=2 - Representative examples for each tier - Separate Historical Claims and Linguistic Claims sub-tables with consistent formatting - N-LEX correctly shows 0 (items previously there moved to I-LEX) - I-LEX correctly shows 4 items with brief justification for each
No formatting issues remain.

REMAINING ISSUES: 0
All seven Phase 5a issues have been correctly fixed in Phase 5b. No new problems were introduced by the edits. The CONCLUSION.md and 03-analysis.md are internally consistent with each other in classifications, vocabulary claims, and structural arguments.
