Revelation 13:5 — Mouth Speaking Great Things

Key:
- ἐδόθη (edothē) = δίδωμι [V-API-3S] Aorist Passive Indicative 3s — "was given" (divine passive)
- στόμα (stoma) = G4750 [N-NSN] — "mouth"
- λαλοῦν (laloun) = λαλέω [V-PAP-NSN] Present Active Participle — "speaking"
- μεγάλα (megala) = μέγας [A-APN] — "great things"
- βλασφημίας (blasphēmias) = βλασφημία G988 [N-APF] — "blasphemies"
- ἐξουσία (exousia) = G1849 [N-NSF] — "authority"
- ποιῆσαι (poiēsai) = ποιέω [V-AAN] Aorist Active Infinitive — "to act/continue"
- μῆνας τεσσεράκοντα δύο = months forty two (= 42 months)

CRITICAL: στόμα λαλοῦν μεγάλα = "mouth speaking great things" is virtually identical to Dan 7:8,20 LXX (στόμα λαλοῦν μεγάλα). This is a verbatim quotation.
The divine passive ἐδόθη ("was given") appears TWICE — authority granted from above.
42 months = 3.5 years = "time, times, half a time" of Dan 7:25.

Revelation 13:6 — Blasphemy Against God

Key:
- ἤνοιξεν (ēnoixen) = ἀνοίγω [V-AAI-3S] Aorist Active — "opened"
- βλασφημίας (blasphēmias) = G988 [N-APF] — "blasphemies"
- πρὸς τὸν Θεόν = "toward/against God"
- βλασφημῆσαι (blasphēmēsai) = βλασφημέω G987 [V-AAN] — "to blaspheme" (infinitive of purpose)
- τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ = "His name"
- σκηνοῦντας (skēnountas) = σκηνόω G4637 [V-PAP-APM] — "those dwelling/tabernacling"

Three objects of blasphemy: (1) God's name, (2) His tabernacle, (3) those dwelling in heaven.
The tabernacle reference (σκηνή) connects to the heavenly sanctuary theme.

Revelation 13:7 — War with Saints

Key:
- ἐδόθη (edothē) = divine passive again — "was given"
- πόλεμον (polemon) = πόλεμος G4171 — "war"
- μετὰ τῶν ἁγίων = "with/against the saints" (cf. Dan 7:21 "made war with the saints")
- νικῆσαι (nikēsai) = νικάω G3528 [V-AAN] — "to overcome" (cf. Dan 7:21 "prevailed against them")
(cf. Dan 7:14 "all peoples, nations, and tongues")

CRITICAL PARALLEL: Rev 13:7 combines TWO Dan 7 elements:
1. Dan 7:21 — war with saints + prevailing = πόλεμον μετὰ τῶν ἁγίων + νικῆσαι
2. Dan 7:14 — all peoples, nations, tongues = φυλὴν, λαόν, γλῶσσαν, ἔθνος
The beast of Rev 13 absorbs BOTH the horn's persecution AND the universal scope of Dan 7.

2 Thessalonians 2:3 — Man of Sin

Key:
- ἐξαπατήσῃ (exapatēsē) = ἐξαπατάω G1818 [V-AAS-3S] Aorist Subjunctive — "deceive"
- ἡ ἀποστασία (hē apostasia) = ἀποστασία G646 — "the apostasy/falling away"
- πρῶτον (prōton) = G4412 — "first" (temporal priority)
- ἀποκαλυφθῇ (apokalyphthē) = ἀποκαλύπτω G601 [V-APS-3S] Aorist Passive Subjunctive — "be revealed"
- ὁ ἄνθρωπος τῆς ἀνομίας = "the man of LAWLESSNESS" (ἀνομία G458)
- ὁ υἱὸς τῆς ἀπωλείας = "the son of destruction" (ἀπώλεια G684)

NOTE: ἀνομία (anomia) = lawlessness, literally "without law" — connects to Dan 7:25 "think to change law"
The apostasy (ἀποστασία) must come FIRST (πρῶτον), then the man of lawlessness is revealed.

2 Thessalonians 2:4 — Exalts Himself as God

Key:
- ἀντικείμενος (antikeimenos) = ἀντίκειμαι G480 [V-PNP-NSM] Present Participle — "the one opposing"
- ὑπεραιρόμενος (hyperairomenos) = ὑπεραίρω G5229 [V-PPP-NSM] Present Participle — "exalting himself above"
- ἐπὶ πάντα λεγόμενον Θεὸν = "above every so-called god" (cf. Dan 11:36 "magnify himself above every god")
- σέβασμα (sebasma) = G4574 — "object of worship"
- ναὸν τοῦ Θεοῦ = "temple of God" (ναός G3485 = inner sanctuary/shrine)
- καθίσαι (kathisai) = καθίζω G2523 [V-AAN] Aorist Infinitive — "to sit"
- ἀποδεικνύντα (apodeiknynta) = ἀποδείκνυμι G584 [V-PAP-ASM] Present Participle — "demonstrating/proclaiming"
- ἑαυτὸν ὅτι ἔστιν Θεός = "himself that he IS God"

CRITICAL: Both present participles (ἀντικείμενος, ὑπεραιρόμενος) indicate ONGOING activity.
Sitting in God's temple = assuming divine prerogative.
Connects to Dan 7:25 "speak words against the Most High" and Dan 11:36 "magnify himself above every god."

Revelation 14:7 — Hour of Judgment

Key:
- Φοβήθητε (Phobēthēte) = φοβέω G5399 [V-AOM-2P] Aorist Passive Imperative — "Fear!"
- δότε (dote) = δίδωμι G1325 [V-2AAM-2P] Aorist Imperative — "Give!"
- δόξαν (doxan) = δόξα G1391 — "glory"
- ἦλθεν (ēlthen) = ἔρχομαι G2064 [V-2AAI-3S] Aorist — "has come" (arrived, completed action)
- ἡ ὥρα τῆς κρίσεως αὐτοῦ = "THE HOUR of HIS JUDGMENT" (κρίσις G2920)
- προσκυνήσατε (proskynēsate) = προσκυνέω G4352 [V-AAM-2P] Aorist Imperative — "Worship!"
- τῷ ποιήσαντι (tō poiēsanti) = "the one who MADE" (ποιέω Aorist Participle — Creator reference)
- τὸν οὐρανὸν καὶ τὴν γῆν καὶ θάλασσαν καὶ πηγὰς ὑδάτων = heaven, earth, sea, fountains of waters

CRITICAL: ἦλθεν (aorist) = "has come" — the hour of judgment HAS ARRIVED.
κρίσεως (genitive of κρίσις G2920) = the same judgment concept as Dan 7:9-10 (דִּינָא).
The worship command echoes Exodus 20:11 (Creator made heaven, earth, sea) — a Sabbath/law connection.
This is the clearest NT echo of the Dan 7 judgment scene applied to the end-time proclamation.
